This Sunday marks World Trafficking Day. All around the world, victims of human trafficking are still going unnoticed. The Vice-President of the Methodist Conference, Deacon Kerry Scarlett, has written this prayer for the victims.
"Loving God,
who created each of us in your image,
we pray for all who are trafficked and enslaved,
treated as commodities to be exploited,
denied opportunity for freedom and flourishing.
We pray for victims and survivors,
for all who offer them care and support,
and for those who seek to challenge the systems, structures and circumstances which
perpetuate these horrific crimes.
Bring your justice, your healing and your flourishing.
Amen."
